Virginia Wilkerson Davis

DURHAM- Mrs. Virginia Wilkerson Davis, 91, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Duke Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Davis was born March 3, 1928 to the late Walter and Martha Wilkerson in Willow Springs, NC. She was employed many years with Durham Public Schools. Mrs. Davis was a founding member of Homestead Heights Baptist Church. She was well liked and loved by everyone that knew her. Mrs. Davis loved her entire family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving and giving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Bradsher Davis; parents, Walter and Martha Wilkerson; brothers, WT Wilkerson, Jr., Wallace Wilkerson, Alton Wilkerson, Betran Wilkerson and James Wilkerson; sisters, Alice W. Hamilton, Gertrude W. Mooney, Gladys W. Puryear, Etta W. Gentry and Theo W. Puryear.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her son Daniel Davis married to wife Ann W. Davis of Raleigh, NC and her grandchildren, Christopher Bradsher Davis and Austin Daniel Davis.
Pallbearers will be Chris Davis, Austin Davis, Loren Cone, Collin Murphy and Evan Murphy.
A private graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 at Woodlawn Memorial Park near Hudson Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Will Toburen with Summit Church.
