Virginia Herron Campbell

DURHAM- Ms. Virginia Herron Campbell, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from a short battle with cancer.
Ms. Campbell was born June 17, 1937 to Vernon and Roxie Mae Herron in Aiken, SC. She enjoyed decorating her home, especially at Christmas time. She also loved doing crafts, cooking, and working in her yard. She loved her family and will be lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.
Ms. Campbell is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Jim Campbell; her parents; and brothers, Bubba Herron and Alton Herron. She is survived by her son, Dennis Lewis (Carol) of Valrico, FL; daughters, Diane Reynolds (Steve) Candler, NC, Debra Vega (David) of Durham, NC, Donna King (Mark) of Clarksville, VA, and Denise Oakley (Micky) of Durham, NC; brothers, Stanley Herron of South Carolina, and Tom Herron (Laura) of South Carolina; grandchildren, Melissa Montgomery (Chris) of Dallas, NC, Wes Reynolds of Candler, NC, Kristy Cheek (Synjun) of Graham, NC, Cody King of Pittsboro, NC, Tara Oakley of Durham, NC, Dylan Oakley of Durham, NC, Jonathan Lewis, and Hannah Lewis both of Valrico, FL; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Alyssa, Peyton, and Brayden.
Flowers are acceptable or donations can be made to Sorrells Grove Baptist Church at 210 Sorrell Grove Church Road Morrisville, NC 27560.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Reverend Glenn Davis.
