Merdis Carpenter Marks

OXFORD- Mrs. Merdis Carpenter Marks, 84, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Universal Health Care.
Mrs. Marks was born June 13, 1934 to the late Phillip and Nellie Carpenter in Durham, NC. She was a charter member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Mrs. Marks retired from GTE as a corporate instructor. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mrs. Marks is preceded in death by her husband, Reginald McLean Mark; parents, Phillip and Nellie Carpenter.
Mrs. Marks is survived by her son, Anthony Marks of Oxford, NC; daughter, Sherry M. Russell of Oxford, NC; grandchildren, Christopher Russell, Heather Russell and Donna Michelle Marks; great grandchildren, Cameron Russell. Private graveside services will be held.
