Carlyle Franklin Baker

DURHAM, NC – Carlyle Franklin Baker, 87, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018.
Mr. Baker was born April 25, 1931 to the late John and Minnie Baker in Durham County, North Carolina. He was a US Army veteran and fought in the Korean war. Mr. Baker was employed as a production worker at Northern Telecom. He was a member of the Massey’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. Baker enjoyed tending to his garden.
Mr. Baker is preceded in death by his parents, John and Minnie Baker and four brothers.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife Dorothy Elliott Baker; a daughter, Sharon Adams (Neal); a grandson, Ryan Adams (Sarah). Pallbearers will be: Steve Andrews, Stephen Andrews, David Elliott, Steve Brackett, Jeffrey Wimberley and Ronald Elliott.  Honorary pallbearer is Bruce Elliott.
A visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 with the funeral following at 1:30 p.m. at Massey’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Kathy Kirkpatrick.
Burial will be in the Massey’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Flowers are acceptable.
