DURHAM- Mr. Bobby Odell James, Jr. (Dale), 56, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019.Dale was born January 3, 1963 to Yolanda Byrd James and Bobby Odell James. He loved his family, his work and his dogs. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, J.D. and Helen Byrd and paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Lucille James as well as his precious dog Say-D.He is survived by his parents, Yolanda and Bobby James; sisters, Debbie James Haskins (Guy) and his twin sister, Barbara Gail James (Dianne); nephews, Patrick Haskins and fiancé Jessica, Timothy James and Joshua James and niece, Kayla James. He is also survived by his loving husband, Daren James of 20 years and their 3 dogs, Chloe, Maggie and Metro.Dale was a 1981 graduate of Southern High School. He was a talented artist that could play the piano by ear and loved performing magic tricks. He spent his free time traveling and watching Sci-Fi movies. He worked for Mikasa over 20 years while out of state. He returned home 5 years ago and worked for Inspirations Home Décor. He became a well-known manager and designer earning many awards and recognitions. He loved and respected his work, family and his clients. Dale was loved by everyone he met and left a lasting and loving impression. He will be greatly missed. His sense of humor and smile was contagious.A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
