Yvonne Brantley Waters

DURHAM Mrs. Yvonne Brantley Waters, 75, of Durham, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2012.Mrs. Waters was a native of Nash County, the daughter of the late Arnold Green Brantley and Viola Reams Brantley. She lived in Beaufort County for 27 years. After retiring with over 20 years of service from GTE she worked 27 years as a private in home nurse. She loved reading, food, traveling, antiquing and gardening. She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Brantley and a sister, Judy B. Rose.She is survived by her daughter, Kimberley Jimmerson; grandson, Micheal Waters; granddaughter, April Jimmerson; nephew, Barry Brantley; two nieces, Virginia Rose and Amber Rose; two great-nieces, Carisa Hicks and Niki Moser; one great-nephew, B. J. Brantley; four great-great nephews and a sister-in-law, Helen P. Brantley.Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Oakdale Cemetery in Spring Hope, N.C. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Helen Brantley, 602 Shiloh Drive of Durham, N.C. 27703 Flowers are acceptable.
