Wilma Cook Coates

DURHAM- Mrs. Wilma Deane Cook Coates, 86, of Durham died on Sunday, December 29, 2013. She was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Edward Cook and Ella O’Briant Cook. She was a member of Lowes Grove Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Coates.

She is survived by her two sons, Steven M. Coates of Stem; Roger T. Coates of Oxford; her daughter, Cynthia Dixon (Don) of Durham; and granddaughter Emily C. Dixon.

A private memorial service is planned for a later date. The family would like to thank  the caregivers and staff at Croasdaile Pavilion 2^nd floor for the love and care they provided.  In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to  American Diabetes Association of N.C. , 2418 Blue Ridge Road, Suite 206, Raleigh, NC 27607.
