DURHAM-Mrs. Willie Jean Walker, 76, of 517 West Bywood Dr. died on Friday, January 14, 2011. She was a native of Durham, the daughter of the late Willie and Geraldine Allen. She worked at Durham Drapery for 18 years then retired as a homemaker. She was of Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her son; Gerald Walker and sister; Janie Porter.She is survived by her husband; John P. Walker Sr., one son; Johnny Walker and wife Sandra of Durham, one daughter; Pam Kelsey and husband Mike of West Virginia, five sisters; Betty Smith , Patsy Lunceford , Joanna Allen, Hazel Jones all of Va., Carol Sue Geithman of Mo., five grandchildren; Paul Walker, Amy Tilley, Brandon Harris, Steven Walker, David Walker, and five great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends on Monday one hour prior to services from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and other times at the home. Flowers are acceptable.
