Willie (Billy) Ross Parker Jr., 93, passed away on April 1, 2026. He was born in Durham on May 6,1932 to Willie R. Parker Sr. and Sarah Bertha Masingale Parker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Patsy Olive Parker who passed on January 6, 2014.

Billy will always be known as a man who strongly believed in God, and was a faithful husband and father. He loved to fish, spending many days on his boat, lake or the ocean, making life-long memories.

Billy was employed as an Automotive Body Technician for 47 years, and those that knew his work, recognized his attention to detail and pride he took in his craft.

As a younger man, Billy proudly served his country in the US Army as a Paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division during the Korean War.

He enjoyed telling his family and friends about his adventures in the Army and sharing his photos and scrapbook.

Billy is survived by his daughter Cheryl Parker Jarmon of Chapel Hill; son Stephen Parker (Sonya) of South Dakota; grandchildren Bradford Jarmon (Kristie), Sarah Felton (Jason), Robert Parker (Haleigh), Clinton LaRicos- Parker (Peter), 5 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson.

His family would like to express their gratitude to his devoted friends and neighbors, and for the wonderful care he received from his home health caregiver Elizabeth and the staff at Cambridge Hills Assisted Living in Pittsboro.

There will be a private graveside service for immediate family only.
