William Scott Bunn, better known as Bundy, 55, of Timberlake, NC, passed away on August 7, 2026 at Duke University Hospital. He was born on January 30, 1971, in Durham, NC to the late Rhonda Sue Powers and William Harvey Bunn.

He is survived by his sister Amanda Taylor; brother Jerry Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews including Olivia Hodge, Llana Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Sebastian Taylor, and Elliott Ramirez.

Bundy spent most of his life in Durham and the surrounding area. He was a long-time employee of Dominos and most recently he worked as a mechanic at Payne’s Service Center. No matter the job, he enjoyed interacting with customers and sharing a laugh.

There were many things Bundy enjoyed, whether it was cheering on his favorite sports teams, the Duke Blue Devils or the Washington Commanders, relaxing with a good book, or catching the latest episode of Jeopardy. He was creative and could often be found tinkering with wood and metal, letting his imagination lead the way. He loved listening to music and never missed an opportunity to see a live concert.

Most of all Bundy was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a fun-loving guy, warm and kind, who never met a stranger. Bundy was always ready with a witty quip or joke, making those around him smile and laugh. He was an avid dog lover and cherished his furry friends throughout his life. Bundy was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
