William (Bill) Blease Bazen Jr. joined his sister and father in heaven on July 23rd, 2024. Bill courageously battled genetic colon cancer, the same type of cancer that took his sister Brenda’s life seven years ago and has now taken his.
Bill was a man of many talents and skills, including being a musician in a local band, a master home renovator and a lover of the 1970's TV show, Movin' On. He had the pleasure of meeting some of the cast members of this show and established a detailed museum dedicated to Movin' On.
Animal rescue and rehabilitation was a serious passion, in which he spent many hours rescuing anything from turtles to cats. He would shelter and provide for any animal in need of his help.
Surviving is the love of his life, wife Rose Ferguson Bazen, mother Rachel Barton, sister Angela Bazen, brother Tony Bazen (Shirley), brother in-laws, Donald Ferguson, Newton Ferguson & Troy Ferguson (Tonya), aunt Frances Foster, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceasing him is his father William Blease Bazen Sr., father in-law Roy Ferguson, mother in-law Donna Ferguson, sister Brenda Bazen Wright, step-father Bud Barton and nephew Timothy Wright. He is also predeceased by many aunts and uncles.
