CLAYTONDURHAM Mr. Wallace Boone Clayton, 72, of Durham, died on Friday, October 22, 2010.Mr. Clayton was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Pervis Maynard and Hettie Ferrell Clayton. He retired from the Durham Public Schools as a Mechanic. He was a member of the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church in Durham. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Clayton, Sr.He is survived by his wife, Clare Sandling Clayton; two sons, Neal Clayton of Durham and Brent Clayton of Hillsborough; brother, Jerry Clayton and a sister, Vivian Riggs both of Durham; four grandchildren, Chaz Clayton, Haley Clayton, Caige Clayton and Cross Clayton and a special cousin, Leona Clayton of Durham.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church in Durham. Dr. Josef Solc will officiate. Burial will be in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
