Virginia Wilson Clayton

GREENSBORO- Ms. Virginia “Ginny” Lee Wilson Clayton, 76, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Cone Health Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

Ms. Clayton was born August 25, 1945 to the late Robert and Earline Wilson in Indianapolis, IN. She enjoyed going to the beach and lake with her kids and grandkids. Loved to garden, especially with her flowers. Ms. Clayton will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, sister and grandmother.

Ms. Clayton is survived by her son, Jerry Bruce Clayton, Jr. of Durham; daughter, Kristen LeeAnn Clayton of Greensboro; sisters, Judith Wilson “Twin” Wise (Jennings) of Greensboro, NC, Janet Elizabeth Wilson of Greensboro; grandchildren, Jerry Bruce Clayton, III, Caroline Spaulding Clayton, both of Durham and beloved cat, Bongi; niece, Lisa Michelle Henninger; nephew, Robert Jennings Wise; previous husband, Jerry B. Clayton (Patricia) of Durham.

A private memorial service with family will be held at a later date.
