Victor G. Lee, Sr., 90, of Durham, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026. He was born on June 25, 1935, in Johnston County, NC to the late Lennie and Otis Lee.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Lorraine Lee; brother, J.D. Lee and sister, Louise Shamel.

Mr. Lee proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for Pitney Bowes for over 30 years and had many accounts all over North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. His great personality, and love to drive, made it the perfect career for him. Victor never met a stranger and he was always willing to help anyone.

After his retirement from Pitney Bowes, he then worked as a delivery driver for Advance Auto Parts, then Walker’s Auto Parts.

Mr. Lee was a faithful member of Durham Memorial Baptist Church for over 60 years where he served in many roles, from being a Deacon to being on the Boy Scouts of America Troop Committee. He also enjoyed doing photography for church events.

Victor loved to travel with his wife and enjoyed time with his family and friends. He was regularly called upon by his neighbors to fix things around the house, as they knew he could fix anything.

Mr. Lee is survived by his children, Victor “Vic” Lee, Jr., Miriam Peterson (Eric) and Jennifer Lee Tamimi; grandchildren, Rutger Peterson and Cierra Peterson; loving cat, Habibah and other loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Hudson Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Durham Memorial Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham, NC.  Dr. Gerald Goodwin and Rev. Tim Griffin will Officiate.
