Tonya Hayes Beasley

Tonya Beasley, 69, of Durham, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Tonya was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Michael Beasley; daughter, Nina Beasley Hood; son-in-law, Travis Hood; step-son, Michael Beasley Jr.; and her beloved grandchildren, Coral and Wade Hood.

She worked at GlaxoSmithKline for more than 30 years. Tonya was known for her love of dogs, the beach, all things hot pink and sparkly, a good cup of coffee, and, most of all, spoiling her grandbabies. Her greatest joy was her family, and her love, strength, and memories will live on in all those who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Hudson Funeral Home in Durham, North Carolina, from 2:00–3:00 p.m., followed by visitation from 3:00–4:00 p.m.

In true Tonya fashion, feel free to wear hot pink or your favorite fun outfit in her honor!

She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
