Sylvia Faye Higgs Young

DURHAM Mrs. Sylvia Faye Higgs Young, 79, of Durham, died on Monday, September 5, 2016.
Mrs. Young was a native of Durham, the daughter of the late William Higgs and Viola Dove Higgs. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Maxie Grainger and sister, Kay Higgs.
She is survived by her husband, Ollie Young; children, Bill Young, Jay Grainger, Stacey Grainger, Dove Grainger Roy, Mark Young and David Young; brother, Harry Higgs; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Dave Pryor will officiate.
