Shakir Hussain, 64, passed away in his home in Durham, NC on Wednesday, March 20th. Born in India, he traveled the world as a hotelier, leaving his mark on historic establishments and earning a reputation as an inspiring leader along the way. Most importantly, Shakir was a dedicated friend and an exceptionally loving father, and he will be remembered fondly as a man who lived life on his own terms. He is survived by his children, Sonia and Rohan, and his siblings, Anees and Zakir. Details about a future memorial service in South Florida to come.
