Ruth Hartis Caddell

Durham- Mrs. Ruth Hartis Caddell, 88, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Person Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

Mrs. Caddell was born October 1, 1930 to the late F.E. and Selma Hartis in Durham, NC. She was a graduate of Oak Grove High School Class of 1948. She was a member of Durham Memorial Baptist Church.

Mrs. Caddell is preceded in death by her parents, F.E. and Selma Hartis; husband, James C. Caddell; sisters, Dorothy H. Hunter and Mary H. Muir; and brother Frank E. Hartis, Jr.

Mrs. Caddell is survived by her daughter, Cathy Caddell Smith of Traverse City, MI; son, James W. “Jim” Caddell (Cheryl); grandchildren, James Kyle Caddell (Hope) of High Point, NC, Ernest P Driver, Jr. of Traverse City, MI; Jeffrey C. Driver of Humble, TX; great-grandchildren, Savannah and Naomi Driver.
