Ronnie Willis “Ratchett” Barbee, 67, of Hillsborough, North Carolina passed away on January 21, 2026, at his residence. Mr. Barbee was born in Durham on September 23, 1958, to the late Julian Willis and Edith Davis Barbee.

In addition to his parents Mr. Barbee is predeceased by a sister, Joyce Barbee and stepson Robbie White.

Mr. Barbee is survived by his wife Jan Brown Barbee of Hillsborough, NC; daughter, Amanda Barbee (Alex); stepchildren, Candice White (Alex G.), Corey White (Lacey); sisters, Edith Denson and Linda Canada; brothers, Kenny Barbee and Jerry Barbee; step grandchildren, Zachery, Charlotte, Kelly, Bobby, Trey, Chase, Paisley, Kaleigh and Brantley; step great grandchildren, Karsyn, Kylen, Kasen and Baylen; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Barbee was employed with Jacobs Glass Co. for 24 years. He enjoyed hunting, motorcycle riding, and playing pool. He was a longtime NASCAR fan and especially favored Dale Earnhardt. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends.

A memorial service will be held at Friendly Hills Baptist Church, 2412 Lonnie Circle, Hillsborough, North Carolina. The date and time will be announced at a later time due to predicted inclement weather.
