Robert Perry

Robert Perry, age 79, went home to be with the Lord, and was reunited with his wife, Rose Marie, of 59 years, on Friday, January 28, 2022. He loved his family deeply and wanted only the best for them.

He was the strongest man we ever knew and worked hard to provide for his family. He received joy in helping his family and friends with different projects whenever needed. He enjoyed working outside, mowing his lawn, and relaxing in the front porch swing with Rose Marie.

He was born March 17, 1942, in Wake Forest, NC, to Foster and Lilly Perry. Robert was a faithful member of Roberson Grove Baptist church in Durham, NC.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie Perry; parents, Foster and Lilly Perry; sister, Beatrice Morris; and brothers, Roger and Rupert Perry.

He is survived by his loving children, Lisa Clevenger (Billy) of Youngsville, Scott Perry (Christy) of Wake Forest, and Brad Perry (Angie) of Creedmoor; grandchildren, Travis Clevenger (Samantha), Tyler Clevenger, Jordan Perry (Skyler) and Corbin Perry; great-grandchildren, Logan and Olivia Clevenger; and sister, Mary Ruth Webster.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Jack O’Neal. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

The family wishes to thank all of those who have prayed for and supported the family during these difficult times. While we are sad and weary, we rejoice in knowing that God knows best and daddy is happy and completely whole again.
