Robert Michael Griffin

Robert Michael "Mike" Griffin passed away unexpectedly March 4, 2024 at his home in Creedmoor. 

Mike was born May 29th, 1953, to the late Robert Staley and Frances Jones Griffin of Durham. He graduated from Southern High School and attended Atlantic Christian College. He worked as a Pawn Broker for many years in Durham. Mike was a big Duke Blue Devil fan. He enjoyed camping, nature, sci-fi movies, thrift shops and loved animals. Mike had a huge heart and would always help someone if he could.

He is survived by his sister Lisa O'Steen and Derick of Durham, his best friend and roommate Melody Cooley, and his devoted canine companion "Spike Griffin".

A private burial will be held Friday at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Donations may be sent to Chances Angel Rescue in Rougemont or Granville County Animal Shelter in his memory.
