Robbie Leonard Moles, Jr.

July 15, 1950 — February 17, 2023

Robbie L. Moles, Jr., 72, formerly of Durham, passed away on February 17, 2023. He passed away peacefully at his farm in Bullock, NC surrounded by family. Robbie was born July 15, 1950, in Durham, NC; the son to the late Robbie Leonard Moles and Anne Barnes Loftin. In addition to his parents, Robbie was also predeceased by his sister, Mary (Rudy) Garcia.

Robbie was self employed, owning and managing his properties throughout Durham. He also served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Tilley-Moles; their children, Lynne Tilley, Brad (Shannon) Tilley, Stacy Moles, and Robbie (Nicole) Moles; grandchildren, Logan Tilley, Trinity Moles, Mitchell Ferrell, Mason Tilley, Bentlee Moles, and Peyton Moles; sister, Wanda (Norbert) Rich of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Harold (Susie) Moles of Roxboro, NC; mother of his children, Patricia Moles.

Robbie leaves behind his four loving and protective Blue Heeler dogs, Levi, Maybelline, Honeybun, and Diesel; as well as, many lifelong friends he called “family”.

Robbie, lovingly known to most as “Moles,” was the “go to” man for everyone he knew. He enjoyed teaching and mentoring, especially to the younger generation. He was proud to be a father figure for so many; sharing knowledge was a passion and gift. He could fix just about anything. It may take him twenty minutes to give you two-minute instructions but you could trust it was well thought out and accurate.

On most days, health allowing, he could be found from sun-up to sun-down on his new farm in Bullock. It was truly his “happy place”. Robbie was intelligent and simple; he could turn a dime into a dollar with little effort. Robbie’s efforts and time on Earth are complete, but his love and memories will forever be found in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Gene Hobbs, Curtis Lovings, Nick Riggs, Jimmy Daniels, JK Barnette, Chris Milko, Forrest Steele, and Tony Harris. Honorary Pallbearer will be Buddy Jenkins.
