Stem

Ricky Todd Carver, age 64, passed on to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 12, 2025, at his home in Stem, NC, after a brief illness, with his wife by his side as he wished. He was born in Durham, NC, on November 16, 1960, to the late Frank Goode Carver and Callie Jean Andrews Carver. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carver was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Goode Carver, Jr., and Phillip Carver, as well as his beloved confidant, Thomas Ward. Ricky was the business owner of Stormtite Seamless Gutters, LLC. He was a very dedicated person who enjoyed working and helping his customers and those he met along the way. He was compassionate and empathetic toward all animals. He enjoyed working with his hands and, as an experienced carpenter, loved making furniture and renovating homes. He paid close attention to detail in any work he performed and took pride in everything he did. Ricky especially enjoyed the mountains all year long, particularly the Roanoke, VA, mountains, which he and his wife visited often. Ricky will be remembered as a blessing to the many who loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Rose Ward, of the home; son, Brandon Carver of Mebane, NC; stepdaughter, Channing Duke of Apex, NC; stepdaughter, Victoria (Tori) Duke (J.T. Matthews) of Oxford, NC; step-granddaughter, Dakota Duke (Tori) of Oxford, NC; mother-in-law, Rachel D. Ward (Thomas) of Stem, NC; sister, Sheila Blackwood (Randy) of Hillsborough, NC; nephew, Chris Blackwood (Rena) of Creedmoor, NC; and niece, Tracy Plessinger (James), of Mebane, NC. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Granville County Animal Shelter or Rocky’s Bridge, Inc., both of which support the care and adoption of animals in need.

"You know that place between sleep and awake, that place where you still remember dreaming? That's where I'll always love you. That's where I'll be waiting." - J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
