Richard Lee “Ricky” Hunt

Richard Lee Hunt, Jr. 54, of Hillsborough, NC passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center. Richard was born in Durham on April 27, 1959 a son of Wanda Sawyers Hancock of Roxboro and the late Richard lee Hunt, Sr.
Richard attended the Durham City Schools and was a finish carpenter. He dearly loved his family and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Wayne Hunt.
Survivors in addition to his mother include, his fiancee Angie Jernigan and son Dakota; sons, Richard Lee Hunt, III of Hillsborough and Stephen Ryan Rafferty of Hillsborough; daughter, April Michelle Hunt of Hillsborogh; brothers James Hunt of Creedmoor, and Steven Howard Caulder of Roxboro; sister Michelle Hunt Anderson of Roxboro; step-sister, Melissa Franko; grandchildren, Anthony and Tristin Collie of Mebane and Madison J. Pollock of Roxboro; and his two best friends, Barry Green and Randy Green.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Rev. Hugh O’Shields will officiate. The family is also planning a Celebration of life at a later date.
