Reuben Lester Ewert

Mr. Reuben Lester Ewert, 89, passed away on April 7, 2022.

Reuben was born April 7, 1933 a son of the late Lewis and Erna Ewert. Mr. Ewert was an Evangelist and a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was an avid reader and writer. Reuben will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ewert was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Boese Ewert.

Mr. Ewert is survived by his daughters, Trina Thiry (Andy) of Chesnee, SC, Charlene Ewert of Conover, NC, Renae Finley (Rick) of Timberlake, NC, and Tonia Ebert (Aaron) of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Nathan Thiry (Julie), Jeremiah Thiry (Heidi), Mark Thiry, Matthew Thiry (Sarah), Jessica Weitz (Tyler), Joshua Finley (Aimee), Karissa Ray (Caleb), Kaleb Finley (Autumn), Jacob Finley, Tyler Ebert (Jessica), Kari Ebert; and great-grandchildren, Elijah Thiry, Levi Thiry, Jacob Thiry, Lucas Thiry, Addie Thiry, Melanie Thiry, Alder Thiry, Bella Thiry, Grayson Thiry, Westin Thiry, Silas Thiry, Raelyn Weitz, Jase Ray, Jaxon Finley, Finley Ray, Titus Weitz, Joselyn Finley, Sammy Ray, Logan Weitz, and Brooks Ray.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Doug Lindsey, Joshua Finley, Tyler Weitz, Paul Troiani, Aaron Ebert, and Jacob Finley.

A visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2022 at Fellowship Baptist Church with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Finley. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
