Ralph Jones, Jr.

DURHAM Mr. Ralph Jones, Jr., 83, of 3417 Cheek Road, died at his home on Sunday, June 6, 2010. Mr. Jones was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Ralph Jones, Sr. and Eunice Roberts Jones. Serving in the U. S. Navy he was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Fletcher’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Jones; one daughter, Debra D. Jones of Durham and one son. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Fletcher’s Chapel United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Ron Synder. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable.
