Peggy Lou Spicer

CREEDMOOR- Mrs. Peggy Barbee Spicer, 84, of Durham, died on Wednesday, November 12, 2020.

Mrs. Spicer was born in Durham, North Carolina to the late Woodrow Barbee and Lina Wood Barbee. She was a graduate of Durham High School. She worked for Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company, and later, owned and operated her own beauty salon in Durham. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cecelia Anne Spicer, and husband Burton Marye Spicer.

She is survived by her son, Michael Louis Spicer and his wife Maria, of Bahama; her sister, Shirley Ellis of Creedmoor; two grandchildren, Sarah and Jessica Spicer; and her nephew, Claiborne Ellis of Creedmoor and his wife, Ellen.
