Pattie Bostic Fields, 88, of Nashville, NC, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. She was born in Duplin County, NC, on April 16, 1938, to the late Owen Thomas Bostic and Mattie Lanier Bostic.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by her husband, Frank “Leroy” Fields; daughter, Melissa Segundo; granddaughter, Christina Nicole Segundo and her 12 siblings.
Mrs. Fields had a true servant’s heart and dedicated much of her life to caring for others. Before retiring, she worked for more than 45 years as a nurse aide at Duke Hospital, where she faithfully cared for countless patients throughout her career. Her life was a true testament to the words of 2 Timothy 4:7: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Even during her final illness, her spirit remained bright, and her trust in God's goodness never wavered. She reminded all who visited her that her hope was anchored in eternity. Above all, she was a woman devoted to her family, and the love she shared with those closest to her will remain a treasured part of her memory.
Left to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Robbie Cooke and Keith Cooke (Sharon) of Nashville, NC; 9 grandchildren, Casey Cooke, Robert Allen Cooke, Lilly Cooke, Joey Cooke (Courtney), Kimberly Cooke (John), Brianna Barley (Brandon), Courtney Hyde (Sydney), Felicity Lewis, and Matthew Cooke; and 8 great-grandchildren, Carson & Emily Hyde, Peyton & Greyson Barley, Carlee Jane, Brayden, Cynthia, and Lorelai Perryman. As well as a host of extended family and church family who will miss her dearly but rejoice knowing she is finally at peace in the arms of her Savior.
A visitation will be held on Monday October 12, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Hudson Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Pastor Robbie Piper will officiate the service.
