Patricia Sears Johnson

WAKE FOREST Mrs. Patricia Sears Johnson, of Wake Forest, departed this life on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by three generations of family after a brief illness. Pat as she was affectionately known had recently celebrated her 88th birthday. She was born March 17, 1924 in Surrey England. She was a passionate gardener and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Elwood Jimmy Worth Johnson Sr. She is survived by her sister Shelia Valentine of Cornwall, England, her three children son Elwood Jim Worth Johnson Jr. and wife Elaine, daughter Shelia Washburn and husband Brad, son Richard Rick Johnson and wife Tonya as well as her eight grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and many extended friends and family both here and in England. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, officiated by Pastor Frank Rice.
