Patricia Lane King

Patricia Lane King, 79, of Durham passed away on December 4, 2025, at Duke Regional Hospital. Mrs. King was born in Durham on November 13, 1946, to the late Coy Lee and Neda Russell Lane.

Mrs. King survived by a son, Foy G. King, III of Durham; daughter, Patricia Dare “Tricia” King of Snow Camp; grandchildren, Daniel Lane King, Hunter Lee King and Dakota Phillips; half-brother and sisters, Todd, Susan and Teresa.

Mrs. King retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance Company and enjoyed gathering with the “BCBS Old Coots” group. She loved animals and, over the years, cared for chickens, peacocks, guineas, and even a cow. She enjoyed gardening at her home and was proud to be a breast cancer survivor.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Hudson Funeral Home from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel.

Officiating will be the Reverend Hugh O’Shields.

Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Randy Russell, Larry Ricks, Joey Hinsley and Gary Russell.

Patricia requested that donations in her memory can be made to a charity of choice.
