Patricia Thomas Allen

DURHAM Patricia Thomas Allen 76, of Durham, died on Monday, March 27, 2017.
Mrs. Allen was born in Sampson County, the daughter of the late Benton Melvin Thomas and Iva Strickland Thomas. She retired from Sonoco Recycling Company. She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Major Allen, Sr.; son, Melvin Major Allen, Jr. and brother, William “Butch Thomas.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Tate and husband, Mike; brothers, Grady, George, Robert, Ronald and Gerald Thomas; daughter-in-law, Iris Allen; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren .
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m., before the service at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
