Opal Wood Faucette

FAUCETTEDURHAM Mrs. Opal Wood Faucette, 87, of 3032 Ross Road, died on Wednesday, October 20, 2010.Mrs. Faucette was born in Forsyth County to the late Edward and Minnie West Wood. She retired from the Durham County Library. She was a strongly devoted Mother who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kenneth Faucette; son, Brian Faucette and a sister, Lu Daly.She is survived by three sons, Freddie Faucette and Doug Faucette both of Sanford and Keith Faucette of Durham; one daughter, Miriam Thompson (Ronnie) of Durham; one sister, Peggy Troutman of Lewisville, N.C.; two grandchildren, Christie Whitt (Ron) and Brandon Faucette and two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Kedan Whitt.A brief memorial and remembrance service will begin on Saturday at 7 p.m., with a visitation to follow until 9 p.m at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable.
