Olif J. Paschall

PASCHALLDURHAM Mr. Olif J. Paschall, 84, of 105 N. Hyde Park Avenue, died at Durham Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, after a short battle with cancer.Mr. Paschall was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Sam and Vera Allen Paschall. He retired from Royal Home Fashions. He was a Lay Minister in the Durham and Roxboro area for over 50 years and had a ministry at JFK Towers called the Caretakers Group. He was a member of the Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church where he was the choir director for many years. He is survived by his wife, Marie Ellis Paschall; one son, Sam Paschall and wife Donna of Durham; two daughters, Jo Ann Emmons and husband, Wayne of Roxboro, Cindy Long and husband, Harold of Raleigh; grandchildren, Shelly Leatham, James Emmons, Jeremy Gowan and Alex and Nick Paschall; 2 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel, officiated by Dr. Eddie Dollar. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m., before the service at Hudson Funeral Home.
