Norman Watson Davis, 79, of Durham, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025. He was born August 8, 1945 in Durham, NC to the late William and Beulah Davis.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded death by his infant son and his sister, Jean Dixon.
Born and raised in Durham, Norman proudly grew up in the Edgemont Community. He worked for GE for over 10 years, then worked at Public Gas for over 10 years. Norman decided to work for himself, where he took care of home maintenance.
Norman loved riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles and driving Chevy Hot Rods. He was an avid hunter and fisherman in his younger years. He enjoyed going to the races with his son, other family members and friends. Norman was a lifetime member of American Legion Post #7.
Mr. Davis was a man who told it like was and being so straight forward earned him quality friends. He treated everyone the same and fairly. Norman will be remembered as being Norman no matter where or when.
Mr. Davis survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Debbie Davis; sons, Norman Davis, Jr. (Christy) and Anthony Davis; stepchildren, Brad Walker (Ashley), Jereme Walker (Ashley) and Britney Daniels (Jesse); sisters, Patsy Whitfield and Carol Lee Johnson; grandson, Brandon Davis; numerous step grandchildren and his loving dogs, Bella, Daisy and TT.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Hudson Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, at 6:00 pm. The family will receive visitors prior starting at 5:00 pm. Officiating will be Reverend Paul Williams.
