DURHAM- Mrs. Norma Gail Clark, 84, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Duke Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Clark was born October 24, 1936 to the late Samuel and Helen Sturgeon in McDowell County, West Virginia. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Clark enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and cooking for her family. She loved taking care of her cats. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clark is preceded in death by her brother, Forrest Sturgeon; sister, Fern Sturgeon.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, Charles W. Clark of Durham; son, Sam Clark (Mary) of Indian Trail, NC; daughter, Kathy Morris (Kenneth) of Kittrell, NC; grandchildren, Sam Clark (Kassie), Randy Clark (Analisa) and Jessica Aulenback (Christopher); great-grandchildren, Olivia Clark and Lawson Clark.
A visitation will be held an hour prior from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Jody Griffin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Calvary Baptist Church, Food Pantry Ministry and GUM Drop Ministry at 1204 Lynn Road, Durham, NC 27703.
