Minnie Ruth Hilliard

DURHAM- Mrs. Minnie Ruth Hilliard, 96, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019.

Mrs. Hilliard was born September 14, 1922 to Henry and Minnie Hagins in Wadesboro, NC. Minnie was a member of the Church of God in Miami, FL, where she played trumpet. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Hilliard is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Minnie Hagins; husband, Hiawatha Hilliard; daughter, Anna Naomi Revell; brothers, Jesse Hagins, and Frank Hagins; sisters, Rose Hagins, “Tina” Rebecca Fox, Lena Hagins-Carter, and Queen Esther Hagins. She is survived by her son, Daniel Hilliard; daughters, Mamie Helen Williams, Rosa Carolyn Hilliard, Barbara Lynette Peters, and Satrina Rena Lord; sister, Susan Keller; grandchildren, Chris Revell, Deborah Williams, Mackenzie Danielle Lord, Adam Peters, Bryan Peters, and Ryan Lord; great-grandchildren, Brandon Revell, Christian Revell, Abigail Ayanna Peters, and Danielle Naomi Peters.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
