Mickey Dale Phillips, Sr.

DURHAM- Mr. Mickey Dale Phillips, Sr., 70, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020.
Mr. Phillips was born on June 1, 1949 to the late Ernest and Isabelle Phillips in Erwin, NC. Mickey retired from the North Carolina Highway Patrol after many years of service. He was a member of the Bethesda Athletic Association where he served as President and Vice President. Mickey loved his mustang and enjoyed going to the beach. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lou Phillips; son, Mickey Dale Phillips, Jr. (Tracy) of Roxboro, NC; brother, J.W. Phillips (Linda) of Erwin, NC; grandchildren, Ambyr and Chanderson Phillips; and step-grandchildren, Haley Hatt, Kirsten Hatt, Kayci Pearce, and Kaydi Pearce.
A graveside service will be held at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., following Wake County COVID-19 restrictions. Officiating will be Reverend Tim Wheeler. Hudson Funeral Home will offer the public an opportunity to stop by and view or sign a register book Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
