Michael Thomas Holder

Mr. Michael Thomas Holder, age 51, passed away suddenly on February 24, 2022.

Michael was born on September 13, 1970 to William Thomas Holder, Jr. and Brenda Bolton Holder. Mr. Holder proudly served his country for five years in the United States Navy. He was a plank owner of The USS George Washington, as he was a member of the First Commissioned crew. Michael was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He graduated from Southern Durham High School in 1988. Michael worked for the family-owned business, Control’s Inc. for 26 years.

He was a Ford guy, he enjoyed Shelby Mustangs and Ford Trucks. Michael was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan and appreciated listening to country music. He loved to travel, especially going to Carolina beach and trips to Texas. Michael was adored by his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Anita Brisson Holder; mother and father-in-law, Ann Brisson and Billy Brisson; daughters, Shauna Holder and Tiffany Holder; brother, Aaron Holder (Chasity); sister, Brandy Holder Blackwelder (Heath); sister-in-law: Donna Brisson West; brother-in-law: Eddie West; nieces and nephews, Austin Blackwelder, Hannah Blackwelder, Caiden Holder, Carson Holder, Braylee Holder, Lauren West, Paige West, and Brooke West; as well as other special family members.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (2677 NC HWY 56, Creedmoor, NC 27522) with a memorial service following at 3:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. David Herman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Michael’s name can be made to the Veteran charity of your choice.
