Mary Ann Saitta

Mary Ann Saitta of Durham, N.C. 100 years old went home to be with the Lord May 31, 2025. She was born to George Connie Ray and Katie Bell Stanley Ray of Durham. She was married to William Al Keene and Frank A. Saitta of Durham who are deceased, also, one daughter, Carolyn Keene Johnson Shaleuly who died in auto accident in 1988.

She is predeceased by four brothers, Clellon, Graham, Jack, and Connie L. Ray and a dear sister, Marie King of West Palm Beach, Florida. She is survived by four grandsons: Michael S. Johnson (Christy), Bill Johnson (Caddy), Jamie Shaleuly, Patrick Shaleuly (Laura) and six great- grandchildren. Also, one dear sister, Elsie Foy Goss of New Hill, N.C. and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church for 65 years and attended regularly until she had health problems that kept her away. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and loved ones.

 Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Durham, NC. Pastor Scott Gray will officiate.

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Sr., John Goss, Jr., Michael S. Johnson, Bill Johnson, Jamie Shaleuly and Patrick Shaleuly.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Roberson and Kenneth Baker.
