MORRISHILLSBOROUGH “To the one who bears the sweetest name” Mrs. Mary Griffin Morris, 74, of 1318 US Hwy 70 East, Hillsborough, died on Saturday, August 28, 2010.Mrs. Morris was a native Durham, the daughter of the late Willie Monroe Griffin and India Love Griffin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ray Morris and a daughter, Pamela Diane Morris.She is survived by two sons, Daniel Ray Morris of Timberlake and Harold Ray Morris of Hillsborough; one daughter, Kimberly Diane Morris of Hillsborough; two brothers, Ray Griffin of Wilmington and Richard Griffin of Garner; one sister, Dorothy Dunn of Sneads Ferry; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Wayside Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Brad Williams. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1318 US 70 East, Hillsborough.
