Mary Davis Jones

Mary Davis Jones, 73, of Durham passed away on November 21, 2025, at Franklin Manor Assisted Living in Franklinton, NC She was born in Florence, SC on February 5, 1952, to the late Thomas Arthur and Hazel Holcomb Davis.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dickie Jones; son, Richie Jones and wife Michelle of Creedmoor, NC; daughters, Sandy Jones Cobb and husband Todd of Cary, NC and Michelle Jones Joyner of Youngsville, NC; grandchildren, Ashley Slater and husband Mitchell, Caroline Jones, Crystal Huth and husband Darren, Hope Davis and Holly Davis; great grandchildren, Milo Slater and Poppy Slater; sister, Brenda Logner and husband Skeeter.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her brothers, Curtis Riddle and Tommy Davis and sister, Joyce Baucom.

Mary proudly dedicated 37 years to The Dog House restaurant, where she became a familiar and cherished face. She loved to cook and was especially known for her delicious chicken and dumplings and her famous potato salad, dishes that brought comfort to many. Mary had a soft spot for her cats, who were never far from her side, and she enjoyed spending time at Texas Road House, one of her favorite places to dine.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday November 26, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel.

Reverend Hugh O’Shields will officiate the service.

Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Clark, Todd Cobb, Matthew Lee, Randy Jones, and Joe Mitchell.
