Marvin Marteinous Christensen

DURHAM Mr. Marvin Marteinous Christensen, 89, of Durham, died on Thursday, April 07, 2016.
Mr. Christensen was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of the late Martin Christensen and Josie Reynolds Christensen. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and World War II. He retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Christensen, daughter, Linda Bush, brother, Merle Christensen and grandson, Kenny Christensen.
He is survived by his sons, Marvin “Jim” Christensen and Arnold Christensen; daughter, Charlene Ferrell; sister, Ida Callis; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 12th at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Chuck Reeves, Michael Ferrell, Tim Ferrell, Alex Ferrell, Jason Wheeler, Waylon Christensen and Jase Wheeler.
