Mark William Scaggs

Jan 1, 1961 — Jul 4, 2026

Bahama

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mark William Scaggs, our beloved husband, father, paw-paw, uncle and friend who passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, at the age of 65, surrounded by the love of his family.

Mark was born on January 1, 1961, in Parkersburg, WV to the late William Andrew and Becky Ann Scaggs.

Mark was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Tracey, with whom he shared 43 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life centered on love, family, hard work, and unwavering commitment to one another.

Mark was a proud American and patriot who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending time hunting, homesteading, and tending to his vegetable garden. Whether he was in the woods, in the fields, or nurturing a garden, he found peace in nature and took great pride in providing for those he loved. His strong work ethic, generous heart and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Above all, Mark’s greatest joy was his family.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife, Tracey Norden Scaggs; their children, Jennifer Taylor (Erick), Jamie Scaggs, Julie Barringer (Cory), and Joshua Scaggs (Victoria); and his cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Savannah, Justin, Autumn, and Ivy. He is also survived by his brother, Todd Scaggs; his sister, Mica Williams; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Each of them carries forward the love, lessons, and memories he shared throughout his life.

He leaves a legacy of dedication, love and kindness that will live on in the lives of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A visitation will be held on Sunday July 12, 2026, from 1 to 3pm at Hudson Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 3pm at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Wes McMurray.
