Mark Anthony “Tony” Massengill

DURHAM – Mark Anthony “Tony” Massengill, 52, passed away Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at his home.

Tony was born June 29, 1969 to Ralph B. and Sandra Jones Massengill in Durham, NC. He is preceded in death by his father and brother, Timothy Floyd Massengill.

Tony is survived by his mother; three brothers, Ralph B. Massengill, Jr. (Beverly) of Conroe, TX, Douglas Wayne Massengill (Pam) of Durham and Steve Massengill (Dawn) of Roxboro, NC; Nieces and Nephews, Katy Prichard (Todd) of Holly Springs, NC, Jacob Massengill (Tatum) of Cary, NC, Chris Massengill of Orlando, FL and Jasmine Massengill of Niceville, FL; several cousins and great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his pet companion cat “TC”.

Tony was the retired owner of Abracadabra Landscaping Company and was a champion motocross bike competitor winning many trophies during his racing days. He was an avid fisherman and sports car enthusiast and excellent cook, especially his BBQ. Tony loved children and was frequently riding neighborhood kids in his sports car or riding mower.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 10^th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 11^th, 2021 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park following the service.

Pallbearers will be Joey Anthony, Obie Barrett, Raymond Maslyn, Eric Brustad, Zakkary Barrett and Scotty Caldwell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donovan Johnson, Jay-Quan Wint and Eugene Overman.

Flowers are acceptable or donations to a local respiratory support organization.
