Margaret Parks Rankin

DURHAM Mrs. Margaret Parks Rankin, 81, of Durham, died on Sunday, November 11, 2012.Mrs. Rankin was born in Gibson N.C. to the late Elvin R. Parks and Katherine Chisolm Parks. She retired from Duke Medical Center as a RN. She was a member of Triangle Presbyterian Church in Durham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Rankin Sr.; son, Kenneth Rankin; brother, Elvin Parks, Jr. and a sister, Mildred Parks Herring.She is survived by her son, Edward Rankin Jr. of Atoka, Tenn. and her daughter, Katherine Petersen of Burke, S. Dakota; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
