Lucy Ricks Harris

DURHAM- Mrs. Lucy Ricks Harris, 86, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020.

Mrs. Harris was born on February 25, 1934 to Rufus and Mary Elizabeth Ricks in Garner, NC. She retired as a machine operator at Liggett and Myers, and was a member of Roberson Grove Baptist church. She loved to square dance, shop, sing and play piano. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and friend.

Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Mary Elizabeth Ricks; her husband, Charlie Harris; and son, Johnny W. “Butch” Cox.

Mrs. Harris is survived by several nieces and nephews.

An entombment service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Officiating will be Reverend Jack O’Neal.
