Lois Ellis

DURHAM- Mrs. Lois Lucas Ellis, 91, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Chatham Ridge Assisted Living.
Mrs. Ellis was born September 16, 1928 to the late Nassie and Claudia Lucas in Falcon, NC. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and RV’ing with her family. Mrs. Ellis loved her church and family. She was a member of Culbreth Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Ellis will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Ellis is preceded in death by her husbands, Clement M. Norwood Jr. and Harry Ellis; brothers, Wade Lucas, N. Ralph Lucas, N. Doner Lucas, Larry N. Lucas and Patrick Lucas; sisters, Vira L. Barefoot, Willie Lee Kirksey, Sue Warren, Meryl James.
Mrs. Ellis is survived by her sons, Michael Norwood (Becky) of Durham, Timothy Scott Norwood (Asheville); brother, Jerry Lucas of Falcon, NC; sister, Mary Thompson (Therland) of Garner, NC; grandchildren, Amanda Bingham (Justin) of Charlotte, NC and Lisa Blake Buck of Durham, NC; great-grandchildren, Cassie M. Allen, Austin T. Buck, Parker B. Bingham and Riley O. Bingham.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Danny Nelson. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
