Lillie Evelyn Mayse

Mrs. Lillie Evelyn Ray Mayse, 81, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020, after several years of declining health.

Mrs. Mayse was born on October 6, 1938, to the late Lillie and Horace Ray. After retirement from Royal Home Fashions, she was a caregiver for several years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Mayse; sisters, Marie Johnson and Linda Pender; brothers, Clellon Sherron, Robert Sherron, and Claiborne Sherron;

She is survived by her daughter, June Mayse (Kristi); brother, Horace N. Ray, Jr. (June); brother-in-law, Bobby Pender; her “bonus” daughter, Carla Bissette and her fur baby, Angel; several nieces and nephews, and her longtime friend, Jean Jeffries.
