Laura Ann Richardson

Mrs. Laura Ann Richardson, 77, passed away June 25, 2023.

Laura was born April 7, 1946, in Durham, NC to the late Vivian Troy Payne and Helen Karleskint Payne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Scott Ferrell, and grandson, Scott Wayne Ferrell.

Laura was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Durham. She worked for Scott Hearing Service at Duke Medical for 25 years. Laura enjoyed playing Bingo, trips to the beach, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Laura will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Richardson is survived by her loving husband, Floyd Richardson; stepdaughter, Lorie Clifton; brother, John Maurice Payne; sisters, Mary Payne Pridgen and Helen Marie Taylor; great-grandson, Conner James Ferrell; as well as other loving family members and friends.

A Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 1 2023, at Hudson Funeral Home with a Memorial Service following at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Ronnie Ingle
