With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Kerinthia M. Poole, a woman of boundless energy and love, who transitioned from this life on June 21, 2026.
Kerinthia was born on May 23, 1982, in Freehold, New Jersey, to the late Ernest E. Poole Jr. and her loving mother, Marjorie Poole. Throughout her 44 years of life, she touched countless hearts with her wisdom, humor, kindness and unwavering spirit of perseverance.
Spending time with her family was the most important part of Kerinthia’s life. She enjoyed traveling with her daughters and friends, especially visiting beaches where she loved collecting seashells and sand for her mother. She cherished pampering her girls with nail treatments, shopping trips and cooking soulful meals for them, creating memories that meant everything to her.
Kerinthia always looked forward to family gatherings and hosting celebrations, and in return, everyone eagerly anticipated her cooking. She was an avid card player and enjoyed teaching her daughters—and anyone patient enough to learn—the game of Spades. She also loved watching scary movies, listening to music and reading Anne Rice novels.
Kerinthia believed in maintaining a balanced life filled with joy, relaxation and hard work. She was passionate about providing the best life possible for her daughters and family.
An avid learner, Kerinthia proudly earned her Master of Business Administration degree, one of her greatest accomplishments. She served her community as a Peer Support Specialist and was a devoted member of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Church.
In her final grand act of kindness, Kerinthia was an organ donor. Through her selflessness, five recipients received her gift of life and the opportunity to continue living and create more memories with their loved ones.
Kerinthia will be remembered as someone who always carried a smile and was ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her love, generosity and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her mother, Marjorie Poole; daughters, Viviana M. Flores-Poole (Micah J. Hunter), Leyla M. Flores-Poole, and Crystal L. Flores-Bravo; sister, Victoria Lykes (Phillip), Temica Poole, Bridget Sutton (Omar); brother, Ernest E. Poole III (Janae); grandson, Micah “Champ” J. Hunter II; nieces, Nadia Poole, Mya Lykes, Aaliyah Poole and Tamiyah Poole; nephews, Ernest “Ace” E. Poole IV, Isaiah Poole, and Phillip “PJ” J. Lykes Jr.; great-nephew, Shamir Owens; God-mothers, Auntie Peggy Knightly and Auntie Cathy LaRocca; and an abundance of loving family members and dear friends.
May her memory be a blessing, and a source of comfort to all who loved her.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Officiating will be Bishop Curtis Poole.
